The advantages of WordPress

Clients can get a feature rich web site built on a recognised platform, so if the worst should happen and you part ways with your web designer, a new web designer can continue to manage and grow your existing website without the need for a complete redesign.

One of the reasons WordPress has become so popular, is the third party developers, who create themes and plug-ins which modify the appearance and functionality of the core WordPress platform. Being able to choose between them is less easy but experience helps!

A good website doesn’t have to cost a lot

Some of the best websites are just simple budget websites that tell the viewer who you are, what you do and where you do it. Assuming the site is registered with the appropriate search engines (Google) and it offers an easy way for the viewer to enquire about the services offered, in many cases this is all that’s required for many businesses.

A note about SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

SEO is the practice of making your online presence visible to the search engines (Google). All websites should be built so they are ‘Search Engine Friendly’ and reflect SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) guidelines as standard. A competent web designer and combined with listing your business correctly with search engines should get your website found. There is more information on SEO here.
